Questions to ask before you buy our CSA

Is the relationship to the farmer/farm important to you?

A relationship with your farmers is a significant part of the CSA. It’s your choice to invest in a particular farm business.

You can still support farmers even if a CSA isn’t right for you.  You can purchase from our roadside farmstand or at the farmers market.

Do you travel frequently throughout the CSA season?

If you are primarily home during the CSA season than our CSA might be right for you.  But if you do travel frequently, our CSA is probably not the right option for you as we do not offer flexible pickup dates or flexible credits.  You can still support us by shopping any day of the week at our roadside stand or at the farmers market.

Do you mostly cook meals at home?

The produce in your CSA share will require a commitment to at home cooking in order to use all of your produce each week.  Throughout the season we try to provide recipe options and tips for freezing veggies to help you get the most of out of your CSA produce, if you ever need tips, just ask!

Are veggies a regular part of the meals you and your family eat?

If yes, our CSA produce is a great option for you to introduce your family to new veggies and incorporate more veggies into your daily meals.

Do you need control in your meal planning?

Our Farmers Choice CSA is just that, farmers choice.  That means we the farmers are selecting the produce that is seasonal and at it’s peak quality and flavor (no substitutions). If you enjoy building meals around the produce we provide and trying new recipes a Farmers Choice CSA share might be for you.

If you are particular about which veggies you like than a better option for might be to shop at our roadside stand or at the farmers market so that you can choose only your favorites.

If you answered yes to all of the above, you’re ready for our CSA!
